Wicked Travel PTY LTD understands that your privacy is important to you. This policy describes how your personal information is handled by Wicked Travel PTY LTD

Wicked Travel is bound by the National Privacy Principles as set out in the Privacy Act of 1988.

Customers of Wicked Travel may provide personal information to us.  The personal information you provide us may include (but is not limited) to the following: your name, address, email address, telephone numbers, financial information, and date of birth. The personal information collected by Wicked Travel will be restricted to the personal information required to provide you with our products and services, as well as a broad range of information in relation to tourism, hospitality, and special events that are of interest to Wicked Travel’s customers.

Wicked Travel will use your personal information to provide our services and also to maintain proper business records.

To complete your transactions or receive a service from us, your personal information may be provided to other parties. For example, your credit card issuer, a tour operator, a hostel or accommodation provider or other service providers with whom you transact, with our assistance, may receive your personal information to the extent necessary to complete a transaction or arrange a service.

Your personal information may also be used by Wicked Travel to notify you of new products, special deals, services and promotions or offerings from tourism, hospitality or service industry participants from time to time.

Wicked Travel has relationships with other companies and service providers that cater to the backpacker market.  Your personal information may be provided to those organisations, for the purposes of promoting the services and products which those organisations offer. You can contact those organisations at any time if you wish to stop receiving their information.

Personal information may also be disclosed to outside parties with whom Wicked Travel PTY contracts for specialised jobs [such as computer specialists and printing companies]. In those cases, we will require from our contractors an undertaking that they will comply with the National Privacy Principles and that they will not use the personal information they are provided for any purpose except to perform their contract with Wicked Travel.

Wicked Travel will disclose your personal information, to a proper authority, when it is required to do so by law. Wicked Travel may also disclose your personal information when reasonably necessary to assist a law enforcement authority or to lessen or prevent a threat to individual or public health, safety or security.

Wicked Travel will take all reasonable steps to ensure the safe storage of personal information from risks such as loss, unauthorised access, misuse, destruction, modification or unauthorised disclosure.  Other parties with access to your personal information are bound by legal restrictions of the Privacy Act 1988 although we cannot guarantee their behaviour.
